White SoClip Pebble earbuds and charging cases with battery and charging icons.

Your earbuds may move between music, calls and short breaks throughout the day. The useful battery question is not just “How many hours?” It is “How much listening can I expect before I need the charging case or a cable?”

SoClip Pebble is specified for 12 hours of playback on a single charge, plus 28 additional hours from the charging case, for 40 hours in total. The 12-hour and 40-hour ratings use 50% volume, SBC or AAC, and high-power audio effects switched off. Fast charging offers a separate short-top-up option: approximately two hours of playback from a 10-minute charge.

Here is what those figures mean, how USB-C charging fits into the routine, and why your settings matter.

SoClip Pebble battery life and charging at a glance

Battery or charging detail Product specification What it means in use
Earbud playback per charge 12 hours under the stated playback conditions Listening before the earbuds need recharging
Additional playback from the case 28 hours Extra listening made possible by returning the earbuds to the case
Total playback with the case 40 hours under the stated playback conditions Earbud playback plus case-assisted recharges, not 40 hours of uninterrupted wear
Fast charging 10 minutes of charging for approximately 2 hours of playback A short top-up, not a fixed charging rate at every battery level
Earbud full-charge time Less than 1 hour A separate specification from the 10-minute top-up
Case full-charge time Less than 2 hours The time specification for recharging the case
Charging connection USB-C; no wireless charging The package specification includes a USB-C-to-USB-C cable

Playback conditions: 50% volume, SBC or AAC, with high-power audio effects off. The 12-hour and 40-hour figures should be read with these conditions, not as guarantees for every setting. The fast-charge figure is a separate product specification; its result can vary with starting charge, temperature and charging conditions.

12 hours per charge vs 40 hours with the case

A single charge describes the earbuds, not the case

The 12-hour playback rating describes one listening period after the earbuds have been fully charged, under the stated conditions. It is not a separate talk-time rating, and it should not be carried over unchanged to every codec or combination of audio features.

Using a higher volume, a different codec, more processing effects or more calls can change the result. The useful reference is your normal mix of activities, not a setting you would never use simply to reach the longest possible runtime.

The 40-hour total includes recharging between sessions

The combined figure is 12 hours from the earbuds + 28 additional hours supplied by the charging case = 40 hours total under the stated playback conditions.

To use the case’s reserve, you need to put the earbuds back in it for charging. The total does not mean 40 hours of continuous playback while the earbuds stay on your ears. Nor does it promise a fixed number of complete recharges on every occasion.

Think of the case as power you can draw on between listening sessions. Whether you need to carry a charging cable depends on how much you listen and how much charge remains in both the earbuds and the case.

Fast charging: what a 10-minute top-up can offer

The stated fast-charge capability is approximately two hours of playback after 10 minutes of charging. It is intended to make a short charging opportunity useful—for example, when you have forgotten to charge before leaving home.

Starting battery level, temperature and charging conditions can affect the result. A 10-minute charge should not be treated as adding the same amount of listening time at every point between empty and full.

Why fast charging and full charging are different figures

SoClip Pebble’s specification lists less than one hour to fully charge the earbuds and less than two hours to fully charge the case.

Charging proceeds through different stages rather than remaining at one fixed rate. As a battery approaches full charge, the process is controlled differently. Do not multiply the 10-minute figure to predict how much playback a longer charge will add.

USB-C charging, without wireless charging

The charging case uses a USB-C port and does not support wireless charging. A USB-C-to-USB-C cable is listed in the package specification.

Keep the port and earbud charging contacts clean and dry. If the earbuds have been exposed to sweat or rain, remove surface moisture and allow the charging contact areas to dry before returning them to the case. The charging case has no IP protection rating; do not extend an earbud’s water-resistance description to the case.

Battery capacity and chip efficiency: what the numbers can tell you

65mAh per earbud and 470mAh in the case

Each earbud has a 65mAh battery, and the case has a 470mAh battery. Capacity describes stored electric charge; playback time also depends on operating current and energy-conversion efficiency.

Dividing the case capacity by the earbud capacity is not a reliable way to calculate the number of complete recharges. Charging losses and the case’s own circuitry use energy too. For planning your listening, use the product’s playback ratings together with their conditions, rather than a simple capacity ratio.

AC7106D power management is an engineering input—not a runtime promise

The AC7106D datasheet summary used for this article describes integrated power management, step-down conversion and battery-charge management. These capabilities support the design of a compact earbud, but they do not set the finished product’s battery life on their own.

The chip’s maximum 225mA charging capability is not the stated charging current of the SoClip Pebble earbuds. The actual setting must suit the battery and circuit configuration.

The same summary gives a TWS current figure of less than 4.4mA with AAC, no load and a 3.7V battery supply. That is a chip-level figure under specific conditions. It should not be used as the complete earbud current during calls or with power-consuming processing functions enabled, or to calculate a new product-runtime claim.

Battery size and chip efficiency help explain the design. Finished-product measurements and everyday use answer the practical question of how long a particular configuration lasts.

Make battery life fit your everyday listening

Start with the settings you actually use

For an everyday reference, note your usual volume, codec, enabled effects and approximate balance of playback and calls. Keep those conditions reasonably consistent when comparing your own listening sessions.

The stated playback conditions use SBC or AAC, so this article does not assign the same 12-hour runtime to LDAC playback. To understand the codec side of the experience, read SoClip Pebble LDAC Explained: How Sound Quality Takes Shape.

Check how automatic power-off works in your version

The app specification includes automatic power-off options of 0.5, 1, 2 and 3 hours. Check the actual interface and product instructions for when the timer applies and what triggers the shutdown. A list of durations does not, by itself, confirm that every option acts as a timer to stop active playback.

For a regular listening routine, understanding this behavior can help you choose how the earbuds should behave after you finish.

Leave room for a short reset, not just another playlist

Battery planning is also about making room for the moments you choose. Between tasks or after work, the SoLabs App offers white noise, breathing guidance and meditation as different ways to begin a short pause.

The app provides the content and guidance; SoClip Pebble provides an open-ear listening option. Choose one activity at a comfortable volume, then return the earbuds to the case when you need to recharge. These are suggested uses, not separately measured battery-life results for each app feature.

Frequently asked questions

Can SoClip Pebble play continuously for 40 hours?

No. The 40-hour figure combines the earbuds’ 12-hour playback rating with 28 additional hours from the case. Recharging in the case is required between sessions. The playback conditions are 50% volume, SBC or AAC, with high-power audio effects off.

Does the 12-hour figure also apply to phone calls or LDAC?

It should not be assumed to. The specified playback conditions use SBC or AAC; the materials provided do not establish separate 12-hour results for calls or LDAC playback.

Does SoClip Pebble support wireless charging?

No. The case charges through USB-C. The package specification lists a USB-C-to-USB-C cable.

Is the charging case water-resistant?

The case has no IP protection rating. Keep it dry, and make sure the earbud charging contacts are dry before placing the earbuds inside.
